This  purely electric bus gets its energy from 12 groups of lithium cells replacing the IC engine, feeding a motor. The batteries produce a power of 300kw/h power. Charging takes 3-5 hours, with a full battery load the range is 160km with air-conditioner (AC) and even 250-300km without AC, according to Ankai representatives.

The charging station is equipped with 30 connecting points, each suitable to load a bus battery. The electric driveline greatly reduces noise and offers more comfort and convenience to the passengers. The first electric buses of this batch are meanwhile in operation, mainly on the local bus line 18.
